The AMA is pleased to announce the 2011 dates for the country’s premier annual celebration of motorcycling heritage. AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days will take place next year on July 22-24, 2011, at the world-class Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.

The 20th Annual AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days features classic motorcycles of all makes and styles, and honors the riders who made them famous. Activities include the AMA Racing Vintage Grand Championships, which feature road racing, motocross, hare scrambles, trials and dirt track; North America’s largest motorcycle swap meet; bike shows and awards; a Marque of the Year display that showcases the history of a unique brand; a Grand Marshal; a new-product vendor midway; stunt shows; demo rides of current production bikes; and seminars on a number of topics by noted motorcycling experts.

“For many motorcyclists, AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days is the premier event of their riding seasons,” said AMA President and CEO Rob Dingman. “As we’ve seen over the years, the appeal of this event goes beyond classic motorcycle collectors and strict vintage competitors. Motorcyclists of all eras are drawn to AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, brought together by their common love of all things motorcycling.”

All proceeds from AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days benefit the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum. The goal of the Museum, located on the campus of the American Motorcyclist Association in Pickerington, Ohio, is to tell the stories and preserve the history of motorcycling’s legends and heroes. As an owner of a KZ900 I’ve got a real soft spot for this machine and it’s siblings, and when it comes to the performance of Z1 – KZ900 – KZ1000, you can easily witness a hint of pride when owners talk about their bike. Terrific specs and outstanding design of this bike make it a perfect super bike of seventies. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that Kawasaki Z1 – KZ900 – KZ1000 is a multifaceted bike. What it means is that you can actually use it for touring purposes, rallies, bike runs, etc. Moreover, you will always find it a good commuting bike which implies the fact that the bike is truly wonderful. .One great thing about this bike is that there are several performance parts that can be fitted to this bike to get a more refined performance. It’s time for a long over due thank you to the gang at Rice Paddy and this new blog its the perfect place for this sort of thing. I’d especially like to thank  Tom the owner, this summer at Vintage days he rolled out the best Ohioan hospitality, and fed our whole gang on our first night there with at truly  gourmet BBQ with all the fixings. Thanks Tom it sure made our first day, run a little smoother and took a little stress of my plate after Traveling 12 hours in convoy from up state NY. I’d like to reciprocate a BBQ for your team on July 24th 2009 at AMA Vintage Days. The Old Bike Barn team will be in attendance at 2009 AMA Vintage Day’s again, and a day earlier this year to get setup.
